On 15th February, Paramount+ announced the cast for the upcoming Teen Wolf movie, set to be released in 2022.

Based off the TV show that ran from 2011 to 2017, the Teen Wolf movie is pledged to be a new chapter of the franchise.

“In Teen Wolf the Movie, a full moon rises in Beacon Hills, and with it a terrifying evil has emerged. The wolves are howling once again, calling for the return of banshees, werecoyotes, hellhounds, kitsunes, and every other shapeshifter in the night.”

It has been revealed that in this new chapter of the beloved story, Scott McCall is now grown up, but still the Alpha werewolf. The description adds that only he “can gather both new allies and reunite trusted friends to fight back against what could be the most powerful and deadliest enemy they’ve ever faced.”

On the fourth anniversary of the series finale back in September, news of the movie dropped, and Colton Haynes teased at his participation when he shared a video that revealed the film would be released in 2022.

Paramount+ has announced that most of the original Teen Wolf series cast will reunite for the film, including Tyler Posey, Holland Roden, Crystal Reed, Shelley Hennig, Colton Haynes, Dylan Sprayberry, Orny Adams, Linden Ashby, Melissa Ponzio, JR Bourne, Seth Gilliam, and Ryan Kelley.

However, it has not been confirmed whether names such as Dylan O’Brien, Tyler Hoechlin, or Arden Cho will reprise their roles. But, Paramount+ stated that there are “additional names to be announced,” so all hope isn’t lost yet.
