Hull city centre has been chosen to be illuminated by nine 15ft Harry Potter wands.

They will be in Queen Victoria Square between 2nd – 8th March and they will create a lightshow in time to music from the movies.

WarnerMedia UK & Ireland country manager, Polly Cochrane said: “We are delighted that this stunning installation will be touring for the first time next month and the magic will be shared with even more fans.”

After winning a public poll, Warner Bros announced that Hull was chosen to start the tour which is set to appear in four locations.

Promoting the April release of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, the wands, coming from The World of Harry Potter in Hertfordshire, will also appear in Birmingham, Stoke-on-Trent and Reading.

The wands were first shown in October in Leicester Square to mark the 20th anniversary of the Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone movie.
